Delete your account
How to delete your Yes Chef account, made by 1273 Software Ltd, and what happens to what is kept about you. Last updated 16 October 2026.
In the app
- Open Yes Chef on your phone and press your initials at the top of the screen.
- At the foot, under This phone, press Delete account, then Delete account again to confirm.
You are signed out straight away and cannot sign back in. If you are your restaurant’s only admin, you will be asked to make someone else an admin first.
By email
Write to omar@1273.co.uk from the email address you sign in with and ask for your account to be deleted. Or ask your manager to write to us for you. We do the same as Delete account in the app, and reply within a month.
What is removed
- Your email address and phone number.
- Your emergency contact and your bank details.
- Your title, preferred name and gender.
- Your availability and your choice about open shifts.
- Your notifications, and the tokens that send them to your phone.
- Your conversation with the built-in assistant.
- Siri on your phones, and your PIN for shared devices.
- The copies of these details in the record of changes.
Your sign-in no longer reaches your account, and the app deletes it.
What your employer keeps
These stay with your employer, under your name: the records the law requires them to keep after you leave, and the records of the work you did there.
- Pay and tax: date of birth, home address, National Insurance number, tax and student-loan details, pay rate or salary, and payroll.
- Your employment: start and end dates, contract, right-to-work check, and the sites you worked at.
- Your work: shifts, clock-ins and clock-outs (with the location and photo, if taken), timesheets, holiday and time off, training, and notes your managers wrote.
- Food safety: the checks and other records you completed or are named on.
Messages you sent to colleagues stay in their conversations. Photos and files in messages are removed after 30 days unless someone chose to keep them. To have your messages removed, write to omar@1273.co.uk.
For how long
Pay, tax and working-time records: typically six years. Right-to-work checks: two years after you leave. Food-safety records: as your employer’s policy says. Your employer decides when they are removed after that; ask them, or write to omar@1273.co.uk and we will help them.
