Terms

The agreement for using Yes Chef. Last updated 11 October 2026.

Who this is between

Yes Chef is provided by 1273 Software Ltd (“we”). These terms apply to the business that signs up (“the restaurant”) and to everyone it invites to use the app or website. By using Yes Chef you agree to them.

Accounts

  • You join by invitation from a restaurant. Keep your sign-in to yourself.
  • The restaurant decides who can see and do what, and is responsible for the people it invites.
  • Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

Using it properly

  • Use it for running your workplace, and within the law.
  • Record things truthfully: clock-ins, checks and temperatures are records your employer relies on.
  • Do not try to get at other people’s data, break the service, or copy or resell it.
  • Be decent in messages. The restaurant can remove messages and people.

Your content

What the restaurant and its people put in — rotas, checks, menus, recipes, photos, messages — stays theirs. We use it only to provide the service, as set out in Privacy.

What the app is, and is not

Yes Chef helps a restaurant keep its records and make decisions. It does not replace the restaurant’s own legal duties: food safety, right-to-work checks, working-time rules, holiday and pay remain the restaurant’s responsibility, and its figures should be checked before they are relied on for payroll or an inspection. Suggestions made by the assistant and other AI features can be wrong; a person should check them before acting.

Price

The phone app is free to download. Any charge for the service is agreed with the restaurant separately. Staff never pay to use it.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Yes Chef running and safe, but it is provided as it is, and it may change, be interrupted, or have faults. We may change these terms; if a change matters we will say so in the app before it takes effect.

Ending

A restaurant can stop using Yes Chef at any time and ask for its data to be exported or removed. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business or data, and our total liability to a restaurant in any year is limited to what it paid us for the service in that year.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts decide any dispute. Questions: omar@1273.co.uk.
